VST RECEIVED BULSAR’S PRIZE FOR GREATEST CONTRIBUTION IN THE RESCUE OF HUMAN LIFE AT SEA

On 20th  December 2009, the annual prizes of BULSAR and the traditional Golden Globe prize of the Cor Caroli Foundation were presented.  Mr. Nikifor Gerchev, Chairman of BULSAR voluntary rescue organization, announced that the organization’s board of directors has unanimously decided to award Varna Shipping and Trading JSC with the prize for greatest contribution to the rescue of human life at sea.

On behalf of the company, Captain Plamen Yonkov accepted this honorable prize and expressed his confidence that VST Varna will continue to assist BULSAR’s activity. He also pointed out that nowadays voluntary rescue is extremely important and must be supported by all means so it may continue to exist. The event passed into an affectionate meeting among representatives of the Bulgarian maritime community.
